Help Harry is a new physics based puzzle game. You must help Harry to save his animals. Bring all his cows, pigs, chickens and sheeps safely down from all kinds of blocks.

I am happy to announce that Help Harry has now been released! There are 75 physics based puzzle levels in the first version and more will be coming soon!
Help Harry is a universal app and it runs on the iPhone 3GS and newer and on the iPad 1 and newer.

I did some “artwork” on the beach of Carmel. 
… since my last post. I am currently on a very long vacation and I can hardly find time to develop Help Harry. But the good news are, that I finished all the coding and art work. All I need to do is creating the levels. The game comes with 90 levels with three different themes in the first version. So that means 30 levels for each theme. I call it level boxes.
The first level box is the “Farm” and all 30 levels are finished. I also created 20 levels for the 2nd box and 17 for the 3rd box. That means I still have to create 23 levels. It is a lot of work to create that many levels. Each level is designed to be easy to master with one or two stars, but it’s very tricky to earn three stars. And the levels should be also unique, it’s not a lot of fun to play a level 20 times with the same kind of puzzle.
I can not give a release date right now but I hope it will be soon.
I fixed the black screen error in Pixel Cow on the new iPad. The game runs now on the new iPad as expected. I just uploaded the fix and it should be available within the next few days.
Did you ever want to create your own levels in a game? Here is your chance to help me out. I need to create 126 levels for the game “Help Harry”. While I was creating the first 20 levels, I came up with the idea that the community could help me create levels.
All you have to do is draw a level in your favorite image editing software and send it to me. You can also draw it on paper and take a picture of it or scan it. The following two images contain all possible block types and rules. There is also a short video where you can see all animals and blocks with their physical behavior.
I will add your level to the game if your level meets the requirements and there is not already a similar level. I will add a complete level list to the game credits. You can send me the name you want to be added to the list and your country. The country is optional but it would be nice to see where the level comes from. The credits will look something like this:

I have finished almost all the art work for the game. I spent the last few days drawing the background images for the level box themes.

Who is Harry?
Harry is the farmer and he is responsible for his animals.
I haven’t done any artwork of Harry yet, but I know how he will looks like.
The game will have a short story where the player can see what’s going on.
I’ve created all the textures for the hay blocks this week. I also implemented the main gameplay for the first level box. I’m thinking about to create a different gameplay in each box. But I haven’t decided yet.
The level unlock system is also finished. Here is a sceenshot of the level select screen with some unlocked levels.
Since a couple weeks I’m working on my 2nd game project for the iPhone and iPad. It will be a physic based puzzle game. I use the Box2D engine for the physics simulation and Cocos2D for the game engine.
I will write more about the game and its features later. But for now I have two screenshots of the current build.
